Aosta Valley is home to some of the best skiing in the Alps. The borders with Switzerland to the north and France to the west provide access to international skiing within the same day.
Cervinia is located at the base of the Matterhorn. With over 6,000 feet of vertical and access to glacier skiing, this area offers 360 Km of high quality skiing. In addition, it is possible to ski across the border to Zermatt in the morning and return back to Italy in the afternoon.
Champoluc, Gressoney and Alagna are the 3 Valleys ski area nestled between the glaciers of the massif of the Mt. Rosa. This area reaches an altitude of 3,250 metres and offers 180 Km of alpine and off-piste skiing.
La Thuile on the south west side of the valley has over 160 km of ski trails and borders the French ski area of La Rossiere. Imagine skiing over to France for lunch at a unique French bistro and returning to Italy in the evening for apres ski and dining/accomodations in Italy.
Lastly, Courmayeur at the foot of the majestic Mont Blanc with its fantastic glaciers and enticing aiguilles.
